| Course Description : | This course familiarizes the student with the treatment and management of pyogenic infection of soft tissues and inflammatory diseases of the bone. It also discusses the surgical procedures used in managing lesions of the oral cavity including soft tissue swellings, lesions of the jaws, odontogenic tumors, cysts of the jaws, tumors of the oral cavity, and the salivary glands disorders. The course emphasizes the interaction of oral surgery with other dental and medical specialties, with special attention paid to TMJ dysfunction, Implantology and injuries of the head and neck.
